Risnjak, Built Around You
Risnjak is one of Croatia's quietest national parks — forested mountains in the Gorski Kotar region, a short drive from Rijeka, protected since 1953. It takes its name from the lynx ("ris" in Croatian) that still live in its forests. The park is the source of the Kupa River, which rises from a turquoise karst spring at its edge, and its highest point, Veliki Risnjak, reaches 1,528 metres.
