Dugi Otok — literally "Long Island" — is a narrow, quiet island off Zadar, best known for Telašćica Nature Park at its southern tip: sheer sea cliffs falling up to 161 metres to the Adriatic on one side, and the sheltered saltwater Lake Mir just behind them on the other. The island is also home to Sakarun, a rare stretch of white sand and shallow turquoise water unusual for this coast, and the fishing village of Sali.
Rather than a single fixed itinerary, this is a starting point for a private trip built around how you actually want to see it: a full day from Zadar, a boat day combined with the neighbouring Kornati Islands, or a slower stay based on the island itself.
